Choir
The Choir at UUCSV, directed by Linda Metzner, performs monthly, usually on the fourth Sunday. We meet the prior Sunday at 12:15, and then the following Thursday at 6:30 PM, and at 10 AM on the day of performance. We perform a wide variety of music in four parts including world music, gospel and shape-note hymns. We welcome your participation! (Click on a picture below for a larger view)
Friday Fling
On the third Friday of the month we get together at a fun party for grown-ups — a potluck supper, refreshments, a good movie, and camaraderie. Dinner is at 6:30 p.m., and the movie (a classic or a good recent film) starts on our most excellent screen a bit after 7 p.m. Friday Fling is often preceded by a drum circle.
Men's Group
The Men's Group is in the formative stages. Men who are looking for other men to have more or less serious conversations about whatever interests them are welcome to come out and help shape the group. We meet every other Sunday morning at this point, but are open to change. We're eating breakfast now, but could bowl, hike, watch and discuss movies, do handyperson projects, play softball... What do YOU think a UU men's group could do?
Women's Spirituality Group
This monthly group is open to all women. We meet to learn, have rituals, watch movies, share ideas, welcome newcomers, and experience what can happen when women gather in a circle with rotating leadership. As a follow-up of a Unitarian Universalist adult education program, this women's group explores different cultures' spiritual practices, ancient and modern, and invites us to enrich our internal journey as well as to share a global one.
